Runescape – Or Botscape?

Note: This was written on the 28/09/2011.

I recently referred to Runescape on my last Minecraft post, so I thought hey, why not review it, I’ve also been playing it for around five years, which over time I have seen it at it’s best and at it’s worst. Right now it’s definitely at it’s worst, read more below to find out why.

Oblivion – Brilliant RPG!

Bethesda’s latest masterpiece Skyrim is due to be released on the 11.11.11 this year so I thought i’d prepare for this release by reviewing Oblivion which I’ve actually never played before. Skyrim includes extremely high graphics and boasts an impressive storyline and gameplay which everyone is greatly looking forward to, but let’s see how Oblivion stands up against these remarks.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic – Fantastic Storyline

Yet another Star Wars game hits the shelves, but is this one worth the money or is it a dud game attempting to wring you dry of your money. Well I can already tell you that almost every Lucasarts Star Wars game has been brilliant so far, and this is definitely not an exception, with the amazing storyline, double crosses and brilliant twists you’ll be wanting to play the sequel to this in no time.

Banjo Tooie – A game with no errors?

Considering i’ve just created a new banner with Banjo and Kazooie on it I thought i’d mark this day with a review of the classic Nintendo 64 game Banjo-Tooie. Now unless you were born recently you should have played, or at least heard about this game, if not – you have now! By the end of the review you’d want to grab a Nintendo 64 or an emulator and play it straight away. Being published in 2000 it was a game that was focused on it’s storyline and game play rather than what today’s companies pump out and call games, primarily for money.

Fallout New Vegas – Almost as good as Fallout 3

The muchly anticipated sequel to Bethesda’s breakthrough game Fallout New Vegas is now on the shelves and looking much like the Fallout 3, except with a few tweaks. It almost lives up to it’s big brother’s expectations however it falls short in just a few categories which I will go into more depth below.

Splinter Cell Conviction, The newest Sam Fisher installment

Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory were two of the best Splinter Cell games in the series. They were great fun, had many replay-ability factors and the feeling you get while sneaking around right under people’s noses is one to be remembered. The game however I am reviewing is the newest Splinter Cell in the series: Conviction.

Minecraft, The skys not the limit

Minecraft, i’m sure you’ve all heard of the million-dollar game created by the one and only “Notch” and his brilliant team of programmers and sound artists. If not I will now introduce you into the vast (almost) limitless world with a huge array of crafting materials to create any structure you desire. If you didn’t know there’s only one goal in minecraft – To Survive – this is done by mining blocks underground and creating shelters or bases to survive the hoards of creatures that roam the lands at night. These creatures range from spiders, to skeletons to zombies but by far the worst of all of these is the infamous CREEPER!

Metro 2033 – Pretty Creepy Game

Metro 2033 is a post-apocalyptic first person shooter set in the metro’s under a once thriving city. Throughout the game the player is sent on increasingly important tasks, starting from doing general repairs to finding important people to saving the world. Now most of you out there would probably have picked up this title trying to find a game similar to Fallout 3, I know I did, and it sure lives up to its reputation.

Battleheart – Great little RPG

Well it’s time for the second game review, a game called Battleheart which is a strategy “platform” game for the iPod and iPhone. This app features cute lovable cartoon characters that you train in combat to defeat the enemies that have taken over the world. You can choose a large variety of different characters from the “Tavern” each having different skills and powers for your disposal. Every 5 levels, up to level 30, you get the option to select a power or special ability for your character. These powers range from doing 350% more damage per attack to healing your team over time which comes in really helpful when fighting tough creatures.

Just Cause 2 Review – “Highly Realistic Physics”

This is the first games review I’ve done so far on the website, I buy a new game approximately once a week, play-test it and then write a review about it here for all to read. As you already know today’s game is Just Cause 2. This game is probably the closest you can come to actually being James Bond, jumping out of planes, blowing up everything in sight this game has it all.
